I actually had 270 WSM built with a long match throat. Both have been popular from their inceptions. (I have shot my dad's .270 win.) Personally I would get a .300wsm shoot 180grs for everything and call it a day. Shoots flat and recoil is no problem, much less than 30-06 and 270 win.
